Our Purpose
Our purpose is to bring people to Jesus and membership in His family, develop them to Christ like maturity, and equip them for their ministry in the church and life mission in the world, in order to magnify God’s name.
Our History
Founded in April 1954
We are a group of diverse people committed to reaching our community for Jesus Christ. Our mission statement is: To bring people to Jesus and membership in His family, develop them to Christ like maturity, and equip them for their ministry in the church and life mission in the world, in order to magnify God’s name.
We are an independent, Bible believing, God loving Baptist church. We have chosen to be affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. We were organized as a church in 1955. We saw rapid growth in the 50’s, 60’s, and early 70’s. In the mid 70’s we went through a drastic decline, which left us with about 25 people in the year 2000. Since then we have begun to turn around and are currently running about 100. We have a Hispanic mission that meets upstairs. We are involved in several ongoing mission projects in Tijuana. Our goal is not only to make an impact in our community but also to reach around the world with the message of Gods love.
Presently we lease our facility to Bright Beginnings Preschool Monday through Friday. We have a NA (Narcotic Anonymous) that meets on Sunday evenings. We believe our goal in reaching our community, is being fulfilled by making our facility available to other groups who share a common goal.
We have three active deacons and three trustees. Many hours are spent improving and maintaining our facilities. We want to be a blessing to our community in hopes they will want to visit us.
We are unashamed to preach and teach that Jesus is the Son of God and that He is the only way to go to Heaven. We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God. We are committed to live our life in such a way that God is honored in everything we do. As we live for God we believe the community will be impacted.
